Tigers claw Kalgoorlie in GFL colts

Malachi Waters booted four goals to lead Boulder’s big win over Kalgoorlie, 15.13 (103) to 2.8 (20), last weekend in round four of the Goldfields Football League’s colts division.

Tyson Clarke also had a day out, underpinned by three majors, as the Tigers grabbed their second win.

The margin was 39 points at half-time before Boulder closed out the result with an eight-goal last term.

Kalgoorlie remain without a victory.

Also last weekend, Mines Rovers beat Kambalda 13.12 (90) to 3.2 (20), with three goals each to Marcellus Bonney and Oliver Darcy.

Andrew Manton kicked two goals for the Diorites, who hold top spot on the ladder with three wins.

The blue-and-whites were fast out of the blocks and led by 40 points at half-time.

Round five colts fixtures start on Saturday when Railways host Mines Rovers at Sir Richard Moore Sports Centre at 10am.

Boulder play Kambalda at Digger Daws Oval on Sunday at 10am.

Mines Rovers remain unbeaten in the reserves competition after toppling Kambalda last weekend, 10.15 (75) to 5.4 (34), on Lewis Johns’ four goals.

In the other clash, Boulder edged out Kalgoorlie, 9.11 (65) to 7.2 (44).
