A pair of sharks frequenting Middleton Beach have been detected more than 30 times in the past 48 hours.

The tagged bronze whaler was first detected at 9pm on Tuesday night.

It was detected a further 24 times by the Ellen Cove Shark Monitoring receiver before 12am.

The shark then returned last night and was detected another four times just before midnight.
