
A breakdown on Tonkin Highway northbound is causing major delays for commuters as peak hour traffic hits Perth on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident — which is located at Guildford Road in Bayswater — was reported by Main Roads at 5.13pm.
The right lane is completely blocked by the breakdown, and traffic is slow on approach to the site.
Main Roads has urged motorists to drive with caution if travelling in the area.
Earlier, a crash on Mitchell Freeway northbound also caused delays for commuters heading north.
The crash was located after Reid Highway in Carine and was reported by Main Roads at 4.19pm.
The right lane of the Freeway was closed by Incident Response.
The crash has since been cleared but traffic remains slow leading up to the site.
