There was drama for domestic travellers after a disruptive passenger forced the cancellation of two cross-country flights on Friday.
In video captured before QF744 could leave Perth Airport, a male passenger could be heard yelling.
Qantas staff called federal police onto the Melbourne-bound service and the man was marched off the flight.
It is unclear what sparked the outburst.
In the end the flight and returning service was cancelled.
Customers were provided alternative flights.
“The safety of our customers and our crew is our number one priority and we have zero tolerance for disruptive or threatening behaviour on our flights,” a Qantas spokesperson said.
“The AFP responded to a request for assistance from an airline at Perth Airport this afternoon (6 November, 2026),” federal police said in a statement.
“The matter is ongoing and further information will be provided at an appropriate time.”
