Three brothers on cruelty charges

Three Kojonup brothers appeared at Katanning Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday last week facing animal cruelty charges.

Brenton Emiel Hettner and Melvin John Hettner were charged with five counts of animal cruelty charges as they failed to provide proper and sufficient food to an animal that they were in charge of.

The third brother, Matthew Edmund Hettner,was charged with six counts of the same offence.

The three brothers entered pleas of not guilty for all charges during their appearance.

They will appear again in court on Tuesday, October 31.
