
A motorbike rider has been rushed to hospital after colliding with a car on wet roads in Perth’s heavy traffic this morning.
The 23-year-old’s blue Yamaha YZF-R3 motorbike was travelling east on Welshpool Road, in Welshpool, when it collided with a blue Kia station sedan at the intersection with Swansea Street just after 7.30am.
The driver of the Kia, a 54-year-old woman, was not injured.
St John Ambulance paramedics took the motorbike rider to Royal Perth Hospital under Priority 2 conditions.
He is being treated for serious injuries but is in a stable condition.
Major Crash investigators are examining the scene and appealing for witnesses to come forward.
