Busselton continued their recent dominance over local rivals Augusta-Margaret River in round 15 of the South West Football League after winning their fifth straight Busselton Toyota Cup clash by 78 points at Sir Stewart Bovell Park on Saturday.

The Magpies have won nine out of the last 10 clashes against the Hawks dating back to 2021.

The 15.19 (109) to 4.7 (31) win was also Busselton’s 13th on the trot, with an unblemished record so far in season 2026.

Hawks came to play early and took the lead during the opening minutes. But Busselton wrestled back control to have a 19-point lead at the main break.

After half-time the Magpies piled on the goals while also keeping Hawks to just three behinds to secure another big win.

Busselton’s spearhead Liam Creighton was held to just two goals while big man Ryan Ekert booted three as 11 Magpies got in on the goal-kicking action.

In the women’s competition, Busselton made light work of Augusta-Margaret River with a 54-point win.

The 9.8 (62) to 1.2 (8) win also means the Magpies remain unblemished atop of the ladder with 12 consecutive wins.

Usual suspects hit the scoreboard for Busselton with Beth Beckett and Rennie Meadmore kicking two each, while Karyn Beeson led the way with three.

Dunsborough claimed a 60-point win over Eaton in wet and testing conditions at Glen Huon Reserve on Sunday, 13.9 (87) to 4.3 (27).

Eaton made the early impact, with Kade O’Dine kicking the opening goal inside the first minute, but Dunsborough soon worked into the contest and began controlling possession.

Mick Sherry and Mack Candy both hit the scoreboard as the Sharks edged in front during an entertaining opening term.

The second quarter became a grinding affair in heavy conditions, with scoring limited as both sides struggled for clean ball movement.

Dunsborough still managed to edge further ahead, taking a 20-point lead into half-time.

Any hopes of an Eaton comeback faded after the break, with the Sharks dominating the third quarter by kicking six goals to one.

Darcy Miller was influential with two majors in the term as Dunsborough took full control of the match.

From there the Sharks managed the conditions better to secure a strong victory and record their third win of the season.

The Sharks women’s side couldn’t find their second win of the season and went down to the Boomers by 13 points.

In tough conditions Dunsborough were overrun by Eaton in the second half with the final result 3.2 (20) to 1.1 (7).
