Raiders’ under-18 development squad will chase a third straight win when they tackle ladder-leaders Magpies tonight in the last round of the Albany Basketball Association women’s A-grade competition before the mid-season break.

The A-grade competition will play its rescheduled round 3 fixtures tonight after they were cancelled because of a power blackout on October 24.

It will be the third time Raiders and Magpies meet, with the ledger sitting at one win apiece after Raiders got the better of their rivals a fortnight ago in round 9.

Raiders won that clash by three points on the back of a dominant first half and last week took care of Flames to notch consecutive wins.

The David Arthur-coached Raiders will search for three wins in a row when they take to the court at 7pm and will again look to star Ella Scamozzi, who is averaging more than 11 points a game in Raiders colours.

Nardia Humphries (14.33 points a game) and her twin sister Narelle Humphries (8.56) have led the way for Magpies, who have a 7-2 win-loss record.

The second-placed Panthers take on the winless Flames in the other round 3 fixture at 6pm.

In the final men’s A-grade competition before the Christmas and break, Tigers and Knights do battle in a mouth-watering top-of-the-table clash.

New side Knights have been very impressive thus far, winning six of their nine games, and will face Tigers for the first time.

Tigers have lost only one game this season and prevailed against Crabs last week even though they were without key guards John and Joe Santia.

Ambassadors clash with Kinjarling Thunder at 6pm, while in the 8pm games, Barking Owls tackle Den/Albany Spartans and Pelicans will oppose to Raiders.
