Pirates power to Albany Volleyball Association championship double winning men’s and women’s premier league

The 2024 Albany Volleyball Association season came to an end with Pirates winning both the men’s and the women’s premier league grand finals on Friday, September 13.

With that momentum, Pirates went on to win the next two sets to seal their come from behind win, 3-2.
Zac Clapp took out the final MVP award and young gun Will Macaulay took out the season MVP.
The social and competitive mixed leagues had their grand finals on Tuesday, October 10 with Spike Wazowski winning the social competition and Brazil For What? winning the competitive mixed league.
It was a record-breaking year for the Albany Volleyball Association since COVID-19, with 41 teams across four different leagues playing two nights a week.
