Former WAFL player Russell Wynne now stable in hospital after Albany brawl that left him fighting for life
The former WAFL player who was allegedly hit by a machete then struck with a car in Albany has been moved out of the intensive care unit.
Russell Wynne, 24, was left fighting for his life after a brawl in Albany’s CBD in the early hours of July 18.
Paramedics were called to Stirling Terrace about 1.20am, where they found Mr Wynne with traumatic injuries.

The Mt Barker man was taken to Albany Health Campus, then flown to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Today, a Royal Perth Hospital spokesman confirmed that Mr Wynne had been moved out of the ICU.
He is now in a stable condition.
Trymain Paul Maxton, 23, appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrate’s Court today charged with the attempted murder of Mr Wynne.
The Lockyer man did not enter a plea to either of his charges — attempted murder and failing to stop and ensure assistance after an incident causing grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody to re-appear in court on September 29.
