Three of Perth’s most entertaining drag queens are heading to Albany for the Albany Drag Show this month and tickets are almost sold out.

Coming to Albany for the first time, the show is led by a comedic MC and the queens of the stage want people to come along, let their hair down and have a laugh.

Privilege Events tour manager Nathan Young said each performer was professionally trained through WA Performing Arts and had resident spots at The Court or Connections in Perth.

“Drag is all about equality, we don’t care if you are male or female, anyone that comes to our show will have the best time,” he said.

“It is a night where our queens will dress up and perform to some of your favourite songs — normally songs that people love hearing but haven’t heard in ages.

“It is three hours of non-stop entertainment.”

The show is interactive, and dancing and games are some of the ways the guests can get involved.

Mr Young said the show would be unlike anything most people had seen before.

“We find regional areas work really well for our show,” he said.

“Last year we visited Kalgoorlie, where we sold out to 300 people and was a really wild and fun night.

“Shows like these do not visit often, so when we do come, people get really excited.

“They love that something different is happening in their area.”

The Albany Drag Show will be at the Stirling Club on Saturday, July 27 at 8:30pm.
