Albany product Julian Crudeli has tonight been named in the Australian Country XI after a stellar performance at the 2017 Australian Country Cricket Championships held in Wollongong.

Crudeli, who hails from Railways in the Albany Cricket Association and is currently playing in the Upper Great Southern, was sensational for the WA Country XI in what was a disappointing tournament where they managed only two wins.

In 10 matches, five one-day games and five Twenty20’s, Crudeli shone for WA with both bat and ball as he finished with 16 wickets and 305 runs.

His made two half centuries including an unbeaten 68 in today’s final fixture and claimed 3-40 against South Australia in a one-day game to back up his 3-34 against East Asia Pacific the previous day.

Crudeli was one of two WA players named in the representative side, with captain and Hay Park product Jono Whitney also receiving Australian honours.
