The Albany Golf Club raised a record amount at this year’s Ladies Charity Day, donating all funds to the Albany Community Foundation.

The community dug deep at the AGC charity day where $7033 was raised through raffles, an auction and novelty holes.

AGC ladies captain Janine Barrett said she was “blown away” by the event’s success.

“I’d absolutely go as far to say it was a record amount raised,” she said.

“We hold a charity event once a year. We were really blown away by people, the generosity was amazing.”

With 107 people in attendance on October 21, men and women competed in team competitions, with raffles throughout the day.

Vouchers donated by Albany businesses and other items from AGC members were raffled off.

Major sponsors were Fletcher International and Fridge and Washer City.
