Second win of Albany season for Keptain Courageous, Hayden Reeves saddles up all eight runners in one race

Keptain Courageous scored his second win in Albany this season, jumping to the top of the 2025-26 leading pacer standings at Harold Reid Paceway after the January 30 triumph.
The David Goulden-trained gelding started from the second row in the Office National Pace (2265m) and was wide and back in the field before storming home on the final lap.
Keptain Courageous ($4.40) finished strongly for driver Ajay Markham, to score by 4.7m on the line over $2.80 favourite Funky Music.
It was a second win for the Albany Harness Racing Club season for Keptain Courageous, putting him to the top of the leading club pacer standings with 11 points, ahead of Shes My Little Gem (10 points) and Up And Alive (nine) who have also scored two victories.

Goulden finished with a winning double on last Friday’s card, after Second Amendment claimed race two over 2265m.
Markham was also in the saddle, as the 10-year-old sprinted home well to win by 12.2m over Capture The Moment.
Trainer Hayden Reeves started the entire field in the Albany Stockfeeds Discretionary Pace (2648m), the field of eight all coming from his stable.
Reeves of course won the event, $1.65 favourite Thomson Bay scoring by 3.1m over Wesmedad ($9).
In the AHRC trainers’ premiership race Reeves leads with 37 points from Goulden (26 points) and Adrian Shanks (22).
Slipalong Saint got the night off to a good start for favourite backers, saluting at $1.60 in the opening event.
Trained and driven by Corey Peterson, the four-year-old won by 4.1m over Reddy To Fly from the Reeves stable.

Other winners on the card were Lets Rock Tonight ($3.10) for trainer Jemma Collins and Tux And Tails ($1.70) for trainer Charles Draper.
Red-hot $1.14 favourite Lookingoodadda claimed the final event over 1832m for trainer Wayne Justins.
Albany have three meetings left this season, with memorial night being held on Friday starting at 6.17pm.
