Fun sprouts after harvest
The who’s who of farming and related industries gathered for an end-of-harvest celebration in Perth on Saturday night.
Young professionals farming group AgConnectWA kicked off its 2018 social calendar with a sold-out cocktail party at Bell’s Functions at Elizabeth Quay.
Guest hailed from a range of farming districts, including Esperance, Kojonup, Corrigin, Tambellup, Latham, Southern Cross and Westonia.
It was the first time the annual cocktail party event had been held on land instead of as a cruise on the Swan River.
AgConnectWA, launched in 2013, was formed to represent and connect farmers and those involved in the agricultural industry aged less than 35.
It hosts a number of annual events each year, including regional sundowners, an annual general meeting and conference, a cocktail party and a wine tour.
AgConnect committee members include president Hayley Goad, vice- president Henry Gratte, Callum Wesley, Georgia Reid, Georgia Trainor, Carris Waite, Brett South and Geoffrey Dwyer.
