Scenic has new holidays in India, centred around the Hooghly River, which is an arm of the Ganges in West Bengal.
Guests will sail on the new Scenic Aura, which carries 44 passengers on nine-night cruises. Originally designed for the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar, it is being redesigned and refurbished. It has four restaurants and bars, and resort-style pool.
Excursions on the Hooghly include high tea at 19th century Kathgola Palace and a visit to the Hooghly Imambara, a spiritual landmark.
The nine-night river itinerary is built in to five new trips, from 17 to 25 days, across India and Sri Lanka.
A 17-day Golden Triangle and Luxury Lower Ganges River Cruise is from $13,395 per person, twin share.
