Qantas devalues Emirates points

At the bottom of a member email, Qantas has revealed how it has devalued Emirates Classic Flight Rewards.
Points costs have risen across all cabin categories — premium economy by about 30 per cent, economy and business class by up to 10 per cent and first class by 20 per cent.
And from next month, Qantas members will need Silver or a higher status to be able to access Emirates First Class rewards.
The member email states: “The number of points required to book an Emirates Classic Flight Reward will increase from March 31, 2026.”
It gives the example that a one-way Classic Flight Reward in Emirates Business from Sydney to Dubai will increase from 130,100 points to 143,000 points (plus taxes, fees and carrier charges).
