Swimmers off the Blowholes near Albany had a chance encounter with a pod of dolphins at the weekend.

Instagrammer @zedekiah_colback shot this stunning video of the pod swimming close to the group on Saturday.

It’s not the first time dolphins have entertained Albany beach-goers.

Photographer Raeline Smith captured this breathtaking shot of a pod of dolphins playing in the surf at Cheyne Beach last week.

The pod of more than 10 dolphins was playfully surfing the waves while feasting on fish.

“(I) noticed large pod dolphins heading in towards shore (and) drove along the beach parallel until they decided to surf into the gutter at front shoreline looking for a feed of fish,” she said.

Mrs Smith said some skilful driving from her husband helped her capture the stunning photo.
