Perth Zoo’s wallabies and kangaroos enjoy wild Christmas surprises
Some of Perth Zoo’s most adorable and cuddly animals have enjoyed some wild Christmas surprises as part of their regular enrichment program.
Perth Zoo invited the media on Wednesday to photograph and film some of its wallabies and kangaroos enjoying specially created woolly bush Christmas trees.
One of the zoo’s echidnas ‘Cojine’ used his long sticky tongue to get treats from gift boxes while the lemurs, pictured above, took time out from sunbathing to check out some presents left in their exhibit.
“The traditional festive twist will spark the curiosity of the animals encouraging their natural instincts and abilities,” Perth Zoo said.
“Pet owners can try some of these activities with their own animals at home.”
Perth Zoo is open every day including Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
