It came despite Peppermint Grove’s Talia Gibson continuing her stunning start to the summer, with Australia’s top-ranked 17-year-old remaining perfect on the season with a 6-4 6-3 win over Anja Dokic.

But Gibson ultimately lacked support as Hensman Park prevailed four rubbers to two, repeating the dose from earlier in the season to hand Peppermint Grove their second loss.

After Peppermint Grove’s Ruby Broadbent produced a 2-6 6-2 10-7 upset of Ksenja Vujacic, it was all Hensman from there as Ella Nurkic and Hayley Burton produced singles wins and the visitors snared both doubles rubbers.
