Second seed Ons Jabeur pulled double duty to reach the final at the Birmingham Classic grass-court tournament, winning twice in a day.

The Tunisian, who had to play two matches on Saturday after a washout the day before, eliminated home favourite Heather Watson, who earlier in the day became the first British woman since 1992 to reach the semi-finals in Birmingham.

Jabeur beat Watson 6-3 6-3 a few hours after dispatching Anastasia Potapova, of Russia, 6-4 6-0.

In the final, Jabeur will face another Russian Daria Kasatkina, who overcame world No.203 Coco Vandeweghe, the American comeback star, in her semi 6-2 6-4.

Earlier, Watson had advanced to the semi-finals by upsetting third-seeded Donna Vekic, of Croatia, 6-4 6-2, while Vandeweghe defeated eighth-seeded Czech Marie Bouzkova 6-4 6-4.
