Fremantle’s Aiden Riddle was the hero in Peel’s three point win over Claremont with a goal after the siren. Here’s how the 15 AFL-listed Dockers went in the top of the table clash.

Bailey Banfield: Stepped up to the task as Peel’s best, especially early when Claremont had the ascendancy. Finished with 28 touches and equal game-high 10 marks.

Jaren Carr: Was very good again playing as an inside midfielder. His ability to cover the ground at his size gives him a leg up over other mids.

Mason Cox: Had a great battle with Tigers big man Oliver Eastland. Won the hit-out battle with 30 but didn’t have his usual dominant impact in the air.

Hugh Davies: Continues to be a wall down back, quelling the Tigers’ key forwards all day. Due an AFL opportunity.

Josh Draper: Played both sides of the ball very well as a lockdown defender and distributor, with multiple piercing balls finding teammates.

Leon Kickett: His forward pressure was on show, laying an equal game-high 11 tackles. Makes the most of his disposals.

Oscar McDonald: Was swung forward late in the game to find a spark but was solid down back as usual before then.

Aiden Riddle: Handed his side the win with a goal after the siren.

Cooper Simpson: Played a more accountable role than usual to limit the Tigers’ small forwards. Didn’t have his usual influence rebounding off half-back.

Brandon Walker: Was outclassed by Zac Mainwaring in the first half, but held him quiet after the main break. Looks his best when he can get off the leash and run through the corridor.

Corey Wagner: Was excellent as an inside midfielder, running hard to collect 29 touches and six inside 50s.

Toby Whan: One of his best games for the year, relishing the extra opportunity inside with 22 touches and six tackles including a couple bone-crunchers.
