Daniel Ricciardo has declared he’s full of confidence in an ominous sign for his F1 rivals as his team unveiled their new racing liveries ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 season.

Formerly known as AlphaTauri Ricciardo’s new team has rebranded to the mouthful that is the Visa Cash App RB F1 Team.

Despite the rebrand, the team has kept its blue and white colours however they have gone for a much brighter arrangement which will certainly be hard to miss on the grid this year.

Fans were quick to get behind the new design delighting in its colour after the rather dull 2023 car, while Ricciardo also unveiled his new racing suit and custom helmet sporting flames on the top and side.

Ricciardo was certainly a fan of the new look and is brimming with confidence after returning to the sport halfway through last season.

“It is going to be fast, but if it looks good as well, that is nice,” he told RacingNews365 at the Las Vegas launch.

“There is a lot happening with this team now that I think is more than just another phase of building the team into something more than just a Red Bull junior team, and that is something really important.

“Coming into a full pre-season now, I have a lot of self-confidence in myself so I think some good things can happen.

“It was good to get back in the car, I missed it, and even at this point in my career as well, maybe people think I just can’t be bothered with these things, but I am enjoying everything.

“It is important for me to feel that in my heart, and it gives me the motivation to go out and do it to the best of my ability.”

It could be a career-defining year for Ricciardo with the chance to return to World Champion Red Bull on the cards should Sergio Perez not deliver behind Max Verstappen.

Legendary commentator F1 David Croft said the return of Ricciardo has been remarkable.

“It’s a bit of a Lazarus-style revival from Danny and he’ll do everything in his power to take it one step further,” he said on SEN.

“If Sergio Perez has a bad year, Daniel is right in the frame for a drive with Red Bull in the future.

“This is a big year for Daniel, if he gets it right on the track who knows what could happen.”
