Olympic high jump silver medallist Nicola McDermott has wrapped up her greatest-ever season with yet another podium finish at the ISTAF track and field meet in Berlin.

McDermott was second behind Russian Mariya Lasitskene (1.98m) with a best clearance of 1.95m - seven centimetres shy of her Australian-record performance at last month's Tokyo Olympics.

The 24-year-old from NSW has broken the national record three times in a stellar 2021 campaign in which she has enjoyed a thrilling three-way rivalry with reigning Olympic champ Lasitskene and Ukraine's Yaroslava Mahuchikh.

Australian Liz Clay was fifth in the women's 100m hurdles in Berlin in 13.22 seconds.
