An Australian who was missing in Nepal after devastating floods ripped through the country almost two weeks ago has been found alive.

The ABC is reporting the person was not in the immediate disaster zone, but had not been accounted for since the disaster.

The person’s location marks the eighth Australian who has been found alive.

Thirty five Australians still remain missing.

More than 1,399 people were killed in the floods which destroyed parts of Nepal and Tibet.

Approximately 5,400 people remain missing across the two regions as of Tuesday.
