Homicide squad detectives have closed an investigation into the body of a 44-year-old man who was found in bushland earlier this month. Dustin Turvey was reported as a missing person before he was found dead in bushland in Mornington, about 42km from Bunbury on November 1. Homicide detectives and forensic officers were deployed to the area to determine the circumstances surrounding his death and remained there for a period of time. At a media conference earlier in November, Inspector Geoff Desanges said it was apparent that he had been deceased at that location for a period of time and that an autopsy report would uncover if there was any criminality associated with Mr Turvey’s death. A police spokeswoman on Tuesday morning confirmed Mr Turvey’s death was now being treated as non-suspicious and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
