Former foreign minister Julie Bishop will join The West Live this morning as co-host with Jenna Clarke in celebration of WA Day.

The duo will discuss everything great about being a Sandgroper today - and there really is a lot to love.

This year, the State is heading online to celebrate, with the annual SOTA festival reimagined to a live show broadcast from Freo.Social to an at-home audience.

Ms Clarke will also speak to West Australian of the Year for 2019 James McMahon and Local Government and Arts Minister David Templeman about what this day means to them.

While on the show, Ms Bishop will be quizzed on trade tensions with China amid the pandemic and discuss why calm and considered diplomacy is the way forward.

She’ll also discuss what she’s been up to post-politics.

After resigning from her 20-year political career, Ms Bishop is now Chancellor of the Australian National University and on international advisory board of powerful artificial intelligence firm Afiniti alongside former British PM David Cameron.

Ms Bishop also joined the Telethon Kids Institute as chairwoman in August 2019.
