Trains on Fremantle line cancelled after car smashes onto railway track in Mosman Park
A car stolen from an elderly hospital patient has crashed through a fence and onto a railway track in Mosman Park, causing commuter chaos this morning.
Trains on the Fremantle line have been cancelled after the crash on Stirling Highway, near Victoria Street about 6.22am.
Police confirmed the car belonged to an elderly man who was in hospital and the driver had run from the scene.
The driver has yet to be found by police.
A Volkswagen SUV was seen across the track, in front of a parked train, this morning.

The metal fence is buckled and the scene is being guarded by police.
A tow truck removed the car about 8am.
Transperth has confirmed trains have been cancelled between Loch Street and Fremantle this morning.
The cancellation has also caused delays on the Midland line, according to Transperth.
A spokesperson said replacement buses have been organised.
People are being urged to allow extra travelling time this morning and are being warned that replacement buses may not connect with timetabled bus and train services.
