Two people have been critically injured after a horror car crash in Chittering during the early hours of Christmas morning.

The men — aged in their 30s and 40s — were driving with another man along Julimar Road at about 4:55am when their vehicle left the carriageway and struck a tree.

An ambulance conveyed the critically injured pair to Royal Perth Hospital. The third man was unharmed.

Major Crash investigators are examining the scene and are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the Holden Colorado travelling in the area prior to the crash to come forward.
