Police investigate fatal Bedfordale crash after vehicle slams into power pole

Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman in Bedfordale yesterday afternoon.

A 67-year-old woman from Karrinyup was rushed to Armadale Hospital after the blue Mitsubishi ASX she was driving north-west on Albany Highway veered off the road and hit a power pole near Admiral Road around 1.25pm.

The woman, who was the only person in the car, tragically died as a result of the injuries she received.

Power was out to most of Bedfordale yesterday immediately after the crash. Parts of the suburb was still without power today, with Western Power estimating a 3.30pm restoration time.

Major crash officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have seen the vehicle being driven in the Bedfordale area prior to the crash.
