Foil boarder escapes injury after being attacked by shark off Wobiri Beach in Exmouth

A foil boarder has escaped injury after being attacked by a shark off the coast of Exmouth.
Surf Life Saving WA said the man was foiling — a water sport where a surfboard is equipped with a hydrofoil — about 1km off Wobiri Beach when he was attacked by the shark about 8pm on Tuesday.
“The shark has bitten the board, the person did not sustain any injuries,” a SLSWA spokesperson said.
A 3m great white shark was spotted by a member of the public at Wobiri Beach just three hours before the attack.
