Middleton Beach will be the centrestage of this year’s National Youth Week events as a Beach Party takes over its shores next Saturday.

Perth band Love Junkies, accompanied by Available at the Counter and Like a Thief, will close out a week of youth-based activities from 5pm. The free event will also feature bubble soccer, bucking bull, an adult bouncy castle and food vendors.

The City of Albany will host several events in partnership with local youth agencies as the annual celebration starts this Friday.

City youth development officer trainee Petra Leonhardt said the events were a chance to celebrate the region’s youth.

“It’s an awesome opportunity for us to celebrate youth and highlight young people as valuable members of our community,” she said.
