Support key to successful luncheon

Jessica CuthbertAlbany Advertiser

The Albany community will come together for a free Christmas Day luncheon next week.

The annual free lunch is hosted by Grace and Glory Ministries International Church pastor Steve Marshall, who said the event was growing every year.

“Our numbers are way more than anticipated and go up every year,” he said. “It is great to give so many people a place to go on Christmas Day and it is always a highlight of my year.

“I have been doing this sort of thing for many years now and it’s great to see the event getting bigger and better every year.”

Mr Marshall said without the ongoing support from the community, the luncheon would not be possible.

“The Albany community is the most generous community I have ever seen and without the support and generosity, we wouldn’t do what we do every year, so we can’t thank them enough,” he said.

The luncheon will be on Christmas Day at the PCYC on Sanford Road, starting at noon.

To register or help volunteer on the day, phone Mr Marshall on 0412 850 105.
