A teenager has died after the car he was driving flipped and hit a tree in the State’s south.

Officers from the major crash investigation section launched an investigation after the crash took place in Scotsdale, near Denmark, at around 6am this morning.

Police say a white Holden Commodore station sedan was driving east on Scotsdale Road near Mount Lindesay Road when it crashed into a tree.

The driver and only occupant of the car, a 19-year-old man, died from his injuries at the scene.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online.
