Pendulum swings by for energetic DJ set

One of the biggest names in drum and bass will be performing in Albany next month.

Pendulum will hit the decks for a DJ set at Albany’s Studio 146 on July 30.

Pendulum formed in their home town of Perth in 2002 when producers Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen teamed up with acclaimed local DJ Paul 'El Hornet' Harding.

Their individual formative roots — ranging from drum and bass, breakbeat and hardcore to playing in metal and punk bands — proved an unstoppable force when they managed to single-handedly conquer the world of drum and bass in their first 12 months together.

The band is formed of members Swire, McGrillen, Peredur ap Gwynedd, Paul 'El Hornet' Harding, KJ Sawka and Ben Verse.

The popular drum and bass act recently announced their regional DJ Set tour, presented by Origin and Falcona.

DJ El Hornet spreads the word of Pendulum with DJ sets throughout the world, appearing at myriad international clubs and festivals worldwide.

After a headline performance at Origin NYE in December last year, DJ El Hornet will take to the decks across the country for nine regional shows across five States.

Pendulum is undoubtedly the biggest name in drum and bass and electronica to come out of Perth, having sold in excess of one million albums worldwide, with In Silico and Hold Your Colour reaching platinum sales.
