Paying homage to a Temple of beauty

Jessica CuthbertAlbany Advertiser

The award-winning boutique spa The Temple was established two years ago in Albany.

The Temple won the start-up business award in the 2016 Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Awards.

Staff say the spa provides a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and treatments are performed in quiet serenity.

The team at The Temple offer an unrivalled experience in relaxation, rejuvenation and energising treatments, designed to cater for men and women.

The experienced team provide personalised care, from a specialised range of facials, clinical treatments and body experiences to eyelash extensions, eyebrow shaping and all aspects of beauty.

Owner Carlyssa Lane said The Temple was a beautiful spa, designed to create a special experience for its clients.

“We decided to open from scratch a business that pushed the limitations that are sometimes set in small towns and we wanted to create something that feels like you have just stepped into it off a Melbourne street,” she said.

“We source the latest products and services and are at the forefront of bringing them to Albany.

“We grew from a team of three to 18 in our first year of operation, and since then have reached our capacity for the building.”

Mrs Lane said receiving the ACCI award last year was a proud moment and had given the boutique business great publicity.

“I was so proud of my team,” she said. “And since winning last year we have been striving to introduce new services and expand our range of products.”

“Since then we have also seen a huge growth in the arena of skin treatments, with incredible products and equipment to support real results.”

“It’s an exciting time to be in the industry and to be a local owner-operator in Albany.

“We hope to deliver even more amazing experiences to our clients in the year to come.”
