Jessica CuthbertAlbany Advertiser

Albany police have issued a man with a fine for disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened a member of staff outside the NAB bank on York Street on Monday.

Police said the NAB employee was waiting outside the bank on the morning of January 15 prior to its opening when she was approached by a 28-year-old Orana man.

Sgt Danny Richmond said the man was shouting abuse at the staff member and police were called.

“Police were advised of the incident and investigated and yesterday he was given a $500 criminal code infringement notice for disorderly conduct,” he said.

“The man was verbally abusing the staff member.”
