The results meant Olympic headed back to the top of the ladder on 18 points, with Rovers second and Chapman in third.

Olympic also did their goal difference no harm with the win — they have outscored opposing teams by 26 goals so far in the league.

Rovers had a bye last round and were due to face UF La Fiamma Wednesday night at the Salvatore Sciuto ground.

Olympic and Chapman play each other next Saturday, with Abrolhos out for a bye.

In the reserves, Olympic tightened their hold on the division by beating Chapman Yellow 12-2 to stay 11 points clear at the top of the table.

Rovers beat Chapman Black 4-1 in the other game to stay second.
