Manjimup businesses, schools and community groups are being encouraged to help turn the town red and silver for the Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival’s 25th year.
The festival is set to return on Saturday, December 12, with organisers calling on shopfronts, businesses and residents to “dress up the streets” in the lead-up to the milestone event.
Cherry Harmony Festival chair Pam Bodsworth said the 25th anniversary was an opportunity to celebrate the festival’s history while bringing the community together.
“We really want to make a big fuss about it being our 25th celebration,” she said.
“It is one of the few festivals that has been going for 25 years, and we are very excited about looking back at some of the best moments from the past while also bringing in new entertainment and new ideas.”
The festival committee is encouraging businesses to decorate windows with red and silver displays, lights and handmade pom-poms.
Schools in the region are also getting involved, with students in Manjimup helping create red pom-poms to be displayed across the town.
Festival co-coordinator Franzine Karamfiles said community involvement had always been at the heart of the event.
“The dressed windows are a fantastic feature of the festival, and we love seeing people getting into the spirit of it,” she said.
“We are hoping businesses will get behind it and help make the whole town feel like part of the celebration.
“The festival is a chance to celebrate Manjimup’s resilience, creativity and community spirit.”
The 2026 event is expected to include stalls, log chops, local performers, food vendors, cooking demonstrations and family entertainment, with a gala celebration planned for Heritage Park on the Saturday evening.
