Jessica CuthbertAlbany Advertiser

Women’s cycling superstar Marianne Vos was in town on the weekend for the 2017 Amazing Albany Bike Ride.

The Dutch multi-time world champion joined a group of 100 local cyclists as they weaved through some of the region’s most scenic landscapes on the 82km ride on Sunday morning.

In 2016, the ride was led out by Vos and Australian cycling legend Robbie McEwen.

This year she returned with her entire WM3 Pro Cycling Team, who rode with participants.

The route started at the National Anzac Centre on Mt Clarence and cyclists passed through beauty spots including Discovery Bay, Salmon Holes, The Gap, the wind farm and Frenchman Bay.
