Entry fee collection boxes targeted

Jessica CuthbertAlbany Advertiser

Police are seeking information from the public after two entry fee collection boxes in the Porongurup National Park were targeted.

Police believe the boxes were damaged between January 3 and 4.

Sergeant Andrew McRae said while both collection boxes were damaged, money was stolen from only one.

“The damaged boxes were reported to us on January 6 and we think around an estimated $100 was stolen from one box,” he said.

“This sort of behaviour is unacceptable, the fee is accepted for the benefit of the park so this sort of behaviour is not tolerated.”

Police are urging anyone with information or footage to contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
