The driver of what was once a Toyota Land Cruiser was lucky to walk away from a crash with only minor head injuries, in Broomehill on Thursday.

The 33-year-old man from Wanneroo who works in Broomehill, was taken to Katanning Hospital for treatment shortly after the crash that tore his four-wheel-drive into pieces.

Katanning police Acting Sergeant, Eri Khazali said the man was driving north on Great Southern Highway when the accident occurred, just after 11pm.

“He walked out from the vehicle with minor head injuries and was taken to Katanning Hospital for treatment,” he said.

“Circumstances of the crash are not known and an investigation is still ongoing.”
