The Chevron City to Surf for Activ run is back again next month, and the Albany Activ team is gearing up.

The run will be held at Middleton Beach and participants can either run, walk or roll through the 4km, 12km, half-marathon or marathon courses on July 22.

The race is Activ’s major fundraising event and since it was established in 1975, it has raised millions of dollars for people living with disability.

The sixth annual Chevron City to Surf for Activ in Albany has opened for registrations, just in time to welcome back Commonwealth Games gold medallist, ambassador and basketball legend Damian Martin.

Martin will headline WA’s oldest and most-loved community fun run for the third consecutive year and will walk in the 4km event at Middleton Beach next month. “It’s fantastic to be part of such an important event that’s synonymous with WA,” the Perth Wildcats star said.

“I’ve met some really inspirational people and it’s incredibly rewarding to help people achieve their goals.

“This is why I come back each year.”

Early-bird registrations are open until 30 June. Register at chevroncitytosurf.com.
