Police need the public’s help to identify a cyclist, after a collision in Midland that has left a pedestrian badly injured in hospital.
The crash happened about 4.40pm on Saturday when, police say, a man riding a bike on the footpath of Morrison Road and a 64-year-old female walking across Mathoura Street ploughed into each other.
The 64-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to St John of God Midland Hospital, before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital for further medical treatment.
The male — who still remains unknown — stopped to assist the woman but left before emergency services arrived.
Major Crash officers are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage, who saw a cyclist on the incorrect side of Morrison Road near Mathoura Street, Midland at the time of the incident.
