Major Crash investigators seeking witnesses of a fatal crash on Dampier Highway after a 73-year-old died at the scene.

A Toyota Hilux was driving south on Dampier Road at about 8.15 am Saturday when it collided with a Toyota RAV 4 exiting Karratha Airport on Bayly Avenue.

The driver of the RAV 4, a 73-year-old male, received critical injuries and died at the scene.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers.

A statement from police said dash-cam or mobile phone vision relating to this crash can be uploaded directly to investigators
