Shire President sends well wishes for a Murray Christmas
What a year! From big wins in tourism to major project developments and facility upgrades, we certainly have a spring in our step as we head into 2022.
I acknowledge the Dwellingup community for their passion, vision and drive which was catalytic in ensuring the town’s transformation into a must-visit destination and Western Australia’s Top Small Tourism Town with gold standard visitor information servicing.
With the completion of the Dwellingup Adventure Trails project in the new year, Dwellingup will soon achieve premier trails town recognition.
We will celebrate a major milestone in the revitalisation of Pinjarra, when works commence on the redevelopment of the Exchange Hotel in mid-2022 and a vision and concept plan is developed for the town centre.

READ NOWIt is going to be a busy mid-year with the Shire’s Food Innovation Precinct set to open its doors as well. We look forward to growing the State’s agri-food sector on a national and international scale and supporting more Murray businesses in our endeavours.
The finishing touches on the Sandy Cove Park Upgrade will be completed in early 2022, Wharf Cove jetty works will be undertaken during the year for enjoyment next summer and the North Dandalup Open Space will be reworked in line with community aspirations.
Council will also continue to secure investment streams to fund the pipeline of key projects identified to future-proof our economy, and support our active and passionate community groups and sporting clubs.
I wish you and yours a safe and enjoyable festive season. Let’s collaborate to innovate and ensure Murray is the best place to live, work, visit and recreate.
Cr. David Bolt
Shire of Murray President
