Donald Trump issues chilling threat to Iran over nuclear deal alongside AI image of him carrying machine gun

Donald Trump has taken to social media to launch a fresh tirade against Iran, warning the pariah country there will be “No more Mr Nice Guy”.

He posted the threat on Truth Social alongside an AI image of himself dressed in a suit, wearing Top Gun-style aviator glasses and holding a machine gun while bombs go off in the background.

“Iran can’t get their act together,” the US President wrote. “They don’t know how to sign a non-nuclear deal. They better get smart soon! President DJT”

Efforts to end the Middle East war appeared at a standstill, with the US considering Tehran’s latest offer to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran saying Washington could no longer dictate terms.

Overnight, Mr Trump posted a claim that Iran had admitted it was in a state of collapse and wanted the US to open the Strait of Hormuz while it sorted out its leadership.

But it was not clear from Mr Trump’s post how Iran had communicated that message, and no immediate comment from Iran was available.

“Iran has just informed us that they are in a ‘State of Collapse.’ They want us to ‘Open the Hormuz Strait,’ as soon as possible, as they try to figure out their leadership situation (Which I believe they will be able to do!)“ Trump said on Truth Social.

Mr Trump is no stranger to controversy when it comes to AI-generated photos.

Barely two weeks ago he came under fire for posting an image of himself as Jesus Christ just hours after he condemned Pope Leo’s criticism of his war with Iran.

The image shows the US President, decked out in white, seemingly healing a sick man, his hands holding the light of the heavens.

But above him isn’t just a glowing sky, but a US flag, soaring eagles, a fleet of warships mid-flight, and a collection of “angel” soldiers.

Days later, the US President posted another AI-generated image — this time, a picture of Jesus embracing him.

The image, reposted to Trump’s Truth Social account, shows Trump with his eyes closed, touching temple-to-temple with a similarly posed Jesus. Mr Trump is standing behind a microphone, and behind him is an American flag.

The original post had a caption that included the words: “God might be playing his Trump card!”

Mr Trump’s repost added the caption: “The Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice!!!”
