There was not just one birthday girl at East Manjimup Primary School on Friday, there were three on the same day and they were in the same class.

The coincidental turn of events saw classmates Amity Krispyn, 5, Layla Horlock, 5, and Edie Pedlar, 6, all share a birthday feast on Friday.

East Manjimup Primary School Pre-Primary-Year 1 class teacher Jane Hide said she had never seen so many children in one class share a birthday.

“It’s unusual to have three students in one class have the same birthday and not be related,” she said.

Mrs Hide said students were usually responsible for providing a birthday food treat for the class, but as there were three students this time, it was held a little differently.

“The girls’ mums all got together to come up with what food to bring, and together they organised to bring in cupcakes, sausage rolls and jelly,” Mrs Hide said.

As there was so much food, she decided to hold a birthday feast.

Layla said she got a pen, a birthday bow and a toy cat for her birthday.

Edie received a Fitbit and a night light and said she was looking forward to her party with her family.

Amity received a baby-sized doll and a lamp and said she liked sharing her birthday with two friends.
