Two West Australians could be sitting on a million-dollar fortune and not even know it.

Lotterywest has put the call out for two winners who each won $1.015m in Saturday’s Lotto draw but have yet to claim the cash.

The tickets were bought from Flinders Square Lucky Lotto in Yokine and Byford Newsagency.

Byford Newsagency owner Gabrielle Lyon is buzzing with excitement over selling the winning ticket and is rallying her regulars to dig out their tickets to check to see if they’re one of the winners.

“We’ve had a few customers come into the store asking if the winner has come forward, however the search is still on,” she said.

“We would love this prize to go to a local player, but for now we will have to now wait and see.”

There were also a whopping 17 division two winners in WA, who have each won over $10,000. The winning tickets were sold across the State including in Busselton, Margaret River. Dianella and Mandurah.

Last week a Perth man, who only plays for the biggest Lotto prizes, scored himself $3.3m after winning a division one prize.

The man, aged in his 30s, bought his ticket from Here’s Luck Lottery Centre in Cloverdale.

The Helena Valley local admitted he’s not a regular weekly player and only buys tickets when there’s a jackpot.

It’s a system that has worked for him, landing the man in a position most can only dream of.

He revealed he plans to use the cash for an international trip as soon as WA’s borders opened.

“I had bought tickets for both OZ Lotto and Powerball and since there was a $20 million Superdraw, I thought, why not?,” he said.

“We’ll pay off the mortgage, put money aside for the kids’ education and book a trip to Croatia first chance we get.”
