Western Australia has continued its winning streak after two West Aussies took home a share in Saturday night’s $10m lottery draw.

The division one prize was won by 10 people across the nation with each winner taking home a cool $1m.

Atwell Newsagency and Lotterwest online sold the winning WA tickets.

Lotterywest spokesperson Nikki Brown said there are more chances coming up for West Aussies to win big.

“This is the second Division One win this week, it’s been a great start to the year,” Ms Brown said.

“What’s more exciting is OZ Lotto has jackpotted to $20 million on Tuesday night, yet another opportunity for WA players to win big.”

16 Western Australians won division two prizes and joined more than 227,000 lucky WA winners who took home a share in Saturday night’s prize pool.

Last night’s win comes after nine colleagues took home a share in more than $2.1 million in the Christmas Day draw.

The winning ticket — sold by the Canning Bridge Newsagency in Applecross — sat on an office notice board for close to two weeks while they were on break over the festive season.

It was only last Thursday that the ticket was scanned revealing the big win for the group.

One of the winners said the group — who have worked together for more than a decade — were crying and in shock at the massive win.

Tickets for Tuesday night’s $20m draw are available until 6pm draw night.
